COVID 

Allergy Alert Tests

 

All clients in for ANY colour service must come in for an Allergy Alert test on their first visit back to the salon following the 2021 lockdown. This applies to both new and existing clients. After your first visit:

  • if you are in for a service where colour is not being applied directly to the scalp (highlights) then you do not need to come in for a further Allergy Alert Test provided you do not go longer than 6 months between visits.

  • If you are in for a service where colour is being applied to the scalp (Regrowth, Full Head Colour, Toner etc.) you will receive a call from our Front of House team the week before your next appointment. We will ask if you have had COVID-19 or the vaccine since your last visit. If the answer is yes, you MUST come in for another Allergy Alert Test. If the answer is no, you will still have the option of coming in for an Allergy Alert Test but it is not mandatory.

If you need to have an Allergy Alert Test but are not able to get to the salon, we do offer a postal option. When the Front of House ring you prior to your appointment they will offer this and it will be posted to you. There is a charge of £5 for this service and it must still be applied at least 48 hours prior to your appointment.

 

When coming for your AAT, please come to the side door (the one on Newfoundland Way) and ring the bell. Someone will be with you as soon as possible. Coming to this entrance will mean fewer people crowding the main entrance. 

Safety Measures in Place

Following the close contact service guidance released by the government we have put some additional measures in place to ensure the safety of our staff and clients.

  • A reduced number of clients and staff in the salon at any one time. 

  • Allergy Alert Tests are required at least 48 hours prior to (but no more than 7 days before) any colour appointment whether you are a new or existing client 

 

  • All staff and clients have their temperature checked on arrival

 

  • Clients are asked to wait outside on arrival – your stylist will greet you and take you straight to wash your hands

  • From 08 August, clients must wear masks when inside the salon

 

  • Visors and masks are worn by all our stylists

 

  • Disposable gowns, towels, aprons and gloves are used. These are changed after every client

 

  • Salon tools and workstations are cleaned and disinfected between each client

 

  • Perspex screens have been installed at the wash basins and reception. The workstations are used in a way that allows social distancing

 

  • Increased frequency of cleaning throughout the salon

 

  • Hand sanitizer is available throughout the salon

  • We are not accepting cash payments. Please pay contactless where possible.

 

We are doing everything we can to ensure the safety of our staff and clients and respectfully ask that our clients do the same.
